My love for movement started at 3 years old when I started mimicing the ballet moves I saw in a show with my mum. She had very little choice but to take me to ballet class.

I believe that dance has taught me a lot in terms of how the body works and how neuromuscular patterns can be ‘directed’ by deciding how you want to execute a specific movement. With long hours of dance training and often pushing through injuries to compete, I later realised that there was a much better way.

Most of the time, we only learn through pain.

If we can rehabilitate injury and manage disease through exercise, we might as well rather prevent it by training in a way that supports the body in the demands we place on it.

My training background in biokinetics includes an Honours degree in Biokinetics from the university of Pretoria (2009). I am also qualified in Advanced International Aquatic Therapy Techniques and a certified WATSU Practitioner.
